About Arjun’s Career
Arjun Coomaraswamy, known mononymously as Arjun, is a British Sri Lankan singer-songwriter, record producer, and actor who was born in Colombo, Sri Lanka, and raised in London.
His Singing Career & Awards
He rose to attention with the R&B cover version of a Tamil song which was Why this Kolaveri di which was released in the year 2011 on YouTube and became a hit song to date. His remix of this song version rose to 3 million in foreign. Arjun became known for his fusion of contemporary Western and Eastern sounds, combining R&B with elements of South Asian music. He got the best newcomer award in the year 2011.
He was selected for singing ICC’s official theme song in the year 2011 alongside Bathiya and Santhush. He has also produced music for the Sri Lankan premier league as well on the opening ceremony of it.
Then, in early 2013, Arjun did a live acoustic session on BBC Radio 1 and was later profiled by DJ Fearne Cotton and Nihal on Fearne’s Radio 1 show. In 2014 he became the chief of honor at the Indian largest gathering in the US which was Indian parade Day and sang songs over there.

He also performed for Diwali on the squad in the same year as well. This year in 2022 he again got an opportunity to do a concert at the time squad and his photo was also been shown on the screen.
