Union Health Minister told that due to the undefined rise in the covid-19 new infection in Kerala, the centre is sending 6 group teams to the state.
Complete lockdown will be imposed in Kerala on July 31 and August 1 due to rising COVID-19 cases in the state, ANI tweeted.
In the statement released by the Health Ministry, the team led by the National Centre for Disease Control(NCDC) Director SK Singh Will fly to Kerala on Friday and will visit some of the most affected districts by the virus.
Cases for new infections are rapidly rising in the state. According to the latest update, with 1.54 lakh active cases, the state has a 37.1% share in the total active cases in the country.
The state is recording 17000 cases every day on average. On 28 July the state has recorded 22,056 fresh covid-19 cases. This leads to the death of 131 more people on the day which adds the total death count to 16,457 till now.
