Krunal Pandya Corona positive: India-Sri Lanka Second T20 Match Got Postponed

HIGHLIGHTS

1. The match played between India and Sri Lanka which was to be played at 8:00 pm on Tuesday has been postponed

2. The BCCI has sent the players of both the teams to isolation till the report is not received.

The match played between India and Sri Lanka which was to be played at 8:00 pm on Tuesday has been postponed as Indian all-rounder Kunal Pandya has been found to be corona positive.

All other players have been tested for covid. if their report will negative. then the second T20 can be played on Wednesday.

The BCCI has sent the players of both the teams to isolation till the report is not received.

Oneday series was also delayed due to Corona

The Indian team has gone on a tour of Sri Lanka, where they have to play three ODIs and three T20 matches, the first one-day match was to be played on July 13.

But at that time some Sri Lankan players were found corona positive, due to which the match was also delayed and the first one-day match was played on 18 July.

The second ODI was played on 20 and 23, the same first T20 match was played on 25 July, the second was to be played on 27 July and the third on 29 July but today’s match has been postponed

The Indian team showed the better performance to win one day 2-1 and showed great performance by winning the first match inside T20 by 38 runs.

Will Prithvi and Suryakumar go to England?

After Kunal Pandya’s positive arrival, question marks have been raised on opening batsmen Prithvi Shaw and Suryakumar Yadav going to England, their departure seems difficult. The Indian Test team is currently inside England, where five Test matches are going to start from August 4.

Due to some injuries to 3 Indian players, including Shubman Gill, it was decided to send Prithvi and Suryakumar, who were participating in the limited-overs series in Sri Lanka, to England.
