The wedding ceremony with Asser was held at the home of Malala Yousafzai in Birmingham, England.
Ms. Yousafzai said in a tweet about the moment, “Today marks a precious day in my life. Asser and I tied the knot to be partners for life. Ms. Yousafzai was born in Pakistan. She was shot by Taliban militants when she was just 11 years old for bravely speaking up on behalf of girls and their right to education.
She was then brought to a hospital in Birmingham, where she was being treated, and later restarted her campaign for girl child education.
After a couple of months of surgeries and therapy, she was reunited with her family in their new home in the United Kingdom in 2014. With the help and suggestion of her father, Malala established the Malala Fund which is a non-profit Organisation dedicated to giving every girl the opportunity to achieve the future she desires and attain the passion which she has.

Ms. Yousafzai was awarded with the Nobel Peace Prize in December 2014 in recognition of her efforts, making her the youngest Nobel prize winner ever. She went for her study at Oxford in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics. She graduated from Oxford in 2020.
According to an article published by the newspaper Dawn, Malala’s betterhalf, Asser Malik, is the general manager of the Pakistan Cricket Board’s High-Performance Centre. Malik joined the organization in May 2020 as per sources.
Asser Malik is the owner of the Pakistani Last Man Stands franchise. He also was the Managing Director of MLK Management Group from April 2019 to May 2020.
