RRvsKXIP, IPL 2021: Rajasthan Royals beat Punjab Kings by 2 runs in their Indian Premier League (IPL) match on Tuesday. Punjab appeared to be the favourites as the match approached its decision however Rajasthan Royals bowler Kartik Tyagi bowled a superb final over Punjab to 183/4 of every 20 overs.

Karthik Tyagi of Rajasthan Royals grabbed the victory from the mouth of Kings XI Punjab in the last over. He did not allow Punjab to score runs in the last over. In the last session, Karthik made his IPL debut against Mumbai Indians.

IPL 2021: Punjab Kings Captain KL Rahul scored 3000 runs in IPL in his 89th match on Tuesday. Chris Gayle holds the record for achieving the quickest milestone in a T20 tournament.

Rahul and Mayank Agarwal gave the team a decent beginning by scoring the first 120 runs in 12 over. And then, Punjab required 60 runs from 48 balls, as debutants Aiden Markram and Nicholas Pooran shared the remaining 50-run in only 28 balls. Pooran, who had a four-legged first leg, four ducks, scored a 22-ball 32 (4Γ—1, 6Γ—2) while Markram stayed unbeaten on 26.

Punjab XI Kings bowlers restricted Rajasthan Royals to 185 runs in 20 overs. Opener Batsman Yashasvi Jaiswal (49) was the top scorer for the Royals, while Mahipal Lomror contributed 43 runs. Punjab bowler Arshdeep Singh took 5 wickets in 4 overs and Shami also took 3 wickets in 4 overs.
