South Africa Won the 2nd ODI Series Against India in Paarl by 7 Wickets

INDIA TOUR OF SOUTH AFRICA, 2021-22: South Africa won the 2nd ODI series against India by 7 wickets at Boland Park in Paarl on Friday. South Africa won the series 2-0 against India. In the 2nd ODI, India won the toss and elected to bat and set a target of 288 runs in 50 overs. But South Africa chased down that target in just 48.1 overs and won the match.

Chasing India’s target, South Africa opener Jahann Malan scored 91 runs in 108 balls and wicketkeeper Quinton de Kock scored 78 runs in 66 balls. Another batsman also played well where Temba Bavuma captain scored 35 runs, Aiden Markram scored 37 and Rassie van der Dussen scored 37 runs in India’s chase.

Cricket South Africa Tweeted on Twitter and said ” RESULT | #PROTEAS WON BY 7 WICKETS !!!! An innings anchored by the opening pair of de Kock (78) and Malan (91) see the #Proteas over the line to claim victory in the Second Betway ODI and secure a series win over India!!!!!

India batsman Rishabh Pant scored the most runs for his team, he scored 85 runs in 71 balls, another batsman KL Rahul scored 55 runs in 79 balls and Shadul Thakur scored 40 runs in 38 balls. While Shikhar Dhawan scored 29 runs in 38 balls, Iyer made 22 and Ashwin also scored 25 and then he gave a target of 287 runs in 50 overs for the loss of 6 wickets.

South African bowler Tabrez Shamsi took the most wickets for his team, taking 2 wickets and another bowler taking 1-1. While India bowlers Bumrah, Chahal and Thakur took wickets for their team, they took 1-1 wickets.
