TOKYO OLYMPICS 2020: Indian wrestler Ravi Dahiya lost the final match of the Tokyo Olympics 2020 to ROC wrestler Javur Yuguyev in the 57 kg weight category. He became the second wrestler after Sushil Kumar to win a silver medal for India. He also won two bronze medals from the 2019 World Wrestling Championships and a two-time Asian champion.
The best part of Yuvugaev is the defence and he did it well and won the match 7-4. In this, the first point was scored by Yuvugaev and then Ravi Dahiya’s score is 2-2 at that time. After that Yuvugaev has taken a lead of 2 points in the first round and the score is 2-4. After that, Ravi Dahiya gets only 2 points but Yuvugaev takes the lead by scoring consecutive points. Thus Russian wrestler Javur Yuvagaev won the gold medal with a final score of 7-4.

Dahiya was born in 1997 and hails from Nahari town in the Sonipat region of Haryana. From the age of ten, Dahiya was instructed by Satpal Singh at Chhatrasal Stadium in North Delhi. His father Rakesh Dahiya, a small farmer, travelled 8-10 km consistently from his town to Chhatrasal Stadium to deliver fresh milk and fresh fruits, which were important for his wrestling diet.

On Wednesday, Ravi defeated Pan American silver medalist Colombian Oscar Tigreros 13-2, Bulgarian individual World Cup bronze medalist Georgi Vangelov 14-4 and double world medalist Kazakh Nurislam Sanayev to reach the finals of the Olympic Games.
